The Bachelors program in Commerce enables the students to quant with the knowledge of accounting, basic principles of management, human resource management, business environment, entrepreneurship, tax and supported by electives in the area of finance, marketing and Human resource. The shipping industry forms an essential part of today’s import and export industry. The activities in shipping or logistics industry includes all sorts of planning, organization, maritime administration, ship finance, risk management, maritime law etc. Different areas of shipping or logistic industry are business plan, market study & analysis of container logistics, shipping logistics cost analysis, feasibility for container freight station (CFS) or inland container depot (ICD).

Entry level managers in various MNC’s in different fields like shipping, banking, insurance, marketing, sales, advertising, stock trading and basic area of finance accounting. A job in shipping industry requires qualifies graduates for ship management, and to fulfill the trading formalities. The shipping industry, not only is a source of employment for the people, who are a directly a part of it, but also offers employment to other inter-related industries.

PUC or +2 in any stream

B.Com degree shall extend over a period of six semesters in three academic years.
